• This is a long-term substitute position - not a contract position.  The person selected will be an employee of Education Solutions Services (ESS), rather than Sherwood School District, and must go through the hiring process for ESS prior to start date.

• Rate of pay - $201.01/day; $245.43/day after 10 consecutive days in the position

• Approximate dates of assignment are November 14, 2022 through April 4, 2023

 Position Description:

• Teach 4 sections daily, including AP European History and Modern World History, and World War 2 Holocaust (for the first 1-2 weeks of the third trimester)

• Collaborate with department, building, and district staff

• Communicate effectively with students, staff members and parents 

Qualifications:

• Valid Oregon teacher or substitute teacher license, Social Studies endorsement preferred
• Knowledge of high leverage instructional strategies
• Ability to create a student-centered classroom
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students
• Ability to deliver instruction in a culturally responsive and respectful manner
