Previous high school coaching experience is recommended.  The coach will assist the varsity coach in all aspects of the program and may be responsible for a sub-varsity team.  The applicant must be able to display the following attributes:

• A commitment to high ethical and professional standards
• A demonstrated ability to lead young student-athletes toward academic and athletic excellence
• A strong ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders
• Skilled in organization, time management and a commitment to the vision of the Sherwood Athletic Program
• A great understanding of the training, skill development and coaching techniques involved in high school wrestling
• The ability to communicate coaching philosophy to younger athletes
• The ability to generate excitement and enthusiasm for the sport of wrestling throughout the community
